How to Choose an AI Course for Your Role
Start with the work you need to do. The right AI course should help you handle that work with better judgment, clearer priorities, and practical resources you can use afterward.
Start with the Responsibility You Own
A leader approving an AI investment, a manager redesigning a workflow, and an analyst reviewing a forecast need different learning. Before comparing providers, write down a real task you want to handle better. Use that task to assess the syllabus and the exercises.
| Your Responsibility | Course | Format and Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Set strategy, allocate investment, and oversee risk | Executive AI Leadership | 8 modules · online · self-paced USD $1,860 including tax |
| Select tools, improve workflows, and lead team adoption | Applied AI Management | 6 modules · online · self-paced USD $980 including tax |
| Evaluate evidence, forecasts, and AI-informed recommendations | Data, Prediction, AI Judgment and Decision Quality | 6 modules · online · self-paced USD $980 including tax |
Job title alone is not enough. A manager who mainly reviews forecasts may benefit from the judgment certification; an executive responsible for an operational rollout may also need the management perspective. Compare the actual responsibilities and curriculum.
Look Beyond a List of AI Tools
Tool familiarity can help with an immediate task. A broader management or leadership course should also explain how to choose suitable use cases, evaluate outputs, protect information, assign oversight, and judge whether the work is improving.
Look for exercises that require you to explain a choice. For example, a workflow exercise should ask where a person checks the output and what happens when the system is wrong. A strategy exercise should connect the proposed investment to an outcome and an accountable owner.
Check What You Will Practice and Take Away
Read the assessment and resources sections alongside the syllabus. Ask whether the learning includes realistic scenarios, feedback, and tools you can adapt to your own work.
- For leaders: an AI roadmap, investment framework, risk register, and board oversight questions.
- For managers: an opportunity scorecard, workflow canvas, vendor checklist, adoption plan, and impact tracker.
- For reviewers: a way to check evidence, test assumptions, record uncertainty, and explain a recommendation.
AIACI certifications include practical exercises through AIACI Lab and an implementation toolkit. Each course page explains its specific resources.
Compare the Learning Format and the Full Cost
Check whether a program is self-paced, scheduled, or delivered to a private group. Confirm what feedback and live discussion are included, how the assessment works, and any requirements to complete or renew the credential. A module count does not tell you how many study hours you will need.
AIACI's three certifications are fully online and self-paced, with regular live faculty sessions. The published fees include tax, learning materials, the practical toolkit, faculty feedback, and the initial three-year credential term. A free annual refresh course is included. Renewal after the credential term has its own requirements and fee; review credential validity and renewal before enrolling.
Choose a Course or a Team Workshop
A certification can build individual capability across a defined curriculum. A workshop can help a group work through a shared issue, such as an AI policy, an oversight process, or a workflow redesign. Some organizations need both.

Five Questions Before You Enroll

- Does the curriculum match my role and current knowledge?
- What will I practice, submit, and receive feedback on?
- Which resources can I use after the course?
- What are the delivery, fee, assessment, and renewal requirements?
