Professor Selby's accomplishments in architectural education demonstrate a pattern of dedication to his students.  His service to AIA National, Illinois and Central Illinois Chapter is extensive and demonstrates a long-term commitment to the quality of the Institute's work.

" . .and not just because we like the bowtie"
"He's a real advocate for all of us"

The depth of involvement in professional and community organizations is what stands out in Mr. Milburn's submittal.  His activities in AIA CIC demonstrate leadership qualities that will enhance the experience of emerging professionals in the chapter.

Mr. Kouri is commended for his commitment to community-based involvement.  Few architects are interested in politics, which means government is often left to persons without the necessary training to assure sustainable growth.  Bringing his architectural training to the role of Mayor of Metamora will facilitate solutions that should assist the town in its future development.

Mr. Francois' commitment to AIA CIC has enriched the AIA through leadership and involvement.  His record of public service is extensive and demonstrates sustained leadership in the community.  This particular category was a difficult decision for the committee as all nominations were very qualified and two became almost indistinguishable.

Accepting for BLDD is Gene Dillow
With 78 years of architectural practice, there is no doubt of BLDD's sustained contribution to the profession.  The firm's list of former and current AIA office holders is outstanding.  Their Community Day, as well as the myriad organizations in which their employees participate, demonstrates a core commitment to public service.

Mary has provided significant support to the Central Illinois Chapter through her service as our component liason and staff leader.  Her  support, loyalty and tireless dedication have benefited the past and future leadership of the chapter.
