The firm was commissioned by this University to design a 10,000 s.f. research facility within the constraints of a former tuberculosis hospital. The project incorporates four new lab areas, each with a separate tissue preparation and culture lab. To economize the use of space, the firm created a centralized common equipment room accessible to each of the four labs. A darkroom and dishwashing room have also been included in the project as well as mechanical, storage, and bathroom facilities to support the project.
